A Few Reasons Why You May Not Want To Take Prescription Drugs for ADHD…
Subscribe To Our FeedIf you have realized this to be true, you are not alone: Current research indicates that available treatment choices for ADHD may not be the best. Medicating our children with various combinations of drugs may cause some unwanted side-effects and may not get to the root cause of the real issue with the children. Stimulants are the most frequent choice for many psychiatrists. However, they may only treat symptoms and do not target the real problems that need to be solved. Unfortunately, the longer term effects of these psycho-stimulants have not been determined and the subject is burdened with questions that remain unanswered and parents continue to wonder if they are doing the right thing for their child.
Here are a few reasons why you may want to consider an alternative path before providing your children with prescription only medications and perhaps consider more natural treatments for ADHD:
1. You may or may not know about the side effects caused by utilizing medically prescribed drugs for ADHD treatment include nervousness and anxiety, headaches, dizzy spells, abdominal pains, sleeplessness, a feeling of sickness and actual vomiting, manifestation of eating disorders, and even mental states that resemble true mental illnesses. Yet on the other side of the fence, homeopathic remedies might alleviate symptoms and not cause so many unwanted side effects, thereby preserving your child’s health.
2. Prescribed medications might be effective in reducing or eliminating the actual symptoms of ADHD. However, they might also suppress the natural development of your son’s personality. The prescription may be changing the way your child’s developing brain processes in such a way that natural curiosity and impulses, including creativity, may be stifled! Many famous people were able to get by without medication and found ways to cope with their own ADHD. You have probably heard of one or two such as Abraham Lincoln! It is likely that you cannot wait for your child to get better on his own, that is understandable. Perhaps a more natural approach will solve the behavioral problems without seriously altering your child’s brain chemistry.
3. Studies seem to indicate that those who took ADHD drugs as children may be prone to drug addictions later. Some ADHD meds are chemically very similar to methamphetamine! A more natural herbal remedy is not so likely to cause an addictive personality to emerge.
4. ADHD medication can be costly. Billions of dollars are spent annually for these drugs. This indeed feeds the profit margins of large pharmaceutical companies but may not be very helpful to your pocket book. ADHD natural remedies may be very useful without causing you to skimp on other areas of your budget as much as you might on prescription meds.
5. Another potential long-term side effect of prescription ADHD treatment is a vulnerability to depression and other psychological issues when children become adults. A more natural ADHD remedy is not very likely to have this effect on a person. We all want the best for our children. Therefore, caution, when it comes to the use of prescription medication to treat ADHD is warranted. Depression is not something that children should have to grow up to experience.
Next: Consider doing a little ADHD research of your own. In that investigation include more natural treatments so that you can see the pros and cons for yourself. If you can find your way to using a more natural approach, you may be able to avoid the far reaching side effects that many children have endured and continue to suffer with as adults. It is more humane and natural to use a natural approach to reduce symptoms such as hyper activity, strange behavior and concentration deficits because they are much less likely to put your child’s long term health in jeopardy.

For What Reason Do Doctors Like to Prescribe Medicines in Lieu of Letting Nature to do its Job?
Subscribe To Our FeedSome years back I began along the road of menopause. If you don’t know what menopause is, it is the transformation for many women. That moment of time will hand you surprises like you have by no means seen in the past. Things akin to the fuzz on my face, the bloating of my belly, the hot flashes and the nighttime sweats as well. I can’t convey to you how depressed I became, diarrhea, excessive blood pressure, dry skin, fragile nails, deprived sleep, weight gain and the listing goes on. For your information, I had a horrible spell with menopause, and I did everything that I could imagine of to make it end.
To my disbelief my younger sister began at the same moment in time that I did, and she was forced to cope with lots of the same problems I was having. I asked her what it was she was doing to help with the symptoms and I would not believe what she told me. The moment I asked her what she was taking she said to me, nothing. That’s correct, nothing. I cannot understand how in the world anyone could deal with all of this, moreover not be using anything to help in easing the pain. It gets worse. Approximately 6 months afterward she called me on the phone and told me it was over. After she said it was over I had no clue what she was chatting about, as I downed my brigade of morning medicines. What is over I asked, and she told me her symptoms, all her menopause signs were no more. Just as sudden as they showed up, they were gone.
There I sat, gazing at my $800.00 dollars a month lineup of miracle medicines, and she was over and done with. Then it occurred to me that counting all of my associates that began about the identical time, she was the only one who had made it out of the woods, while taking nothing. After a few days of throwing everything in the house, I called her up and I asked her, why? Why in the heck did you do this and why was it successful?
Nicely she explained her theory to me and I took what she had to say with a grain of salt and a tumbler of water. According to my younger sister, she is of the belief that the health business would much rather have you coming back for more healing than to have you cured all at once. Her comparison is that of a car repair man. If the station fixes your car right the first time you have no motivation to return and try something else to get it to work. Now imagine if the parts were akin to pharmaceuticals, and had a 400,000 % markup, what would your car repairman do?
But I had to know, what about the hot flashes, what about the dreaded menopause night sweats. She told me that after a little time they mutually subsided, and that varying her regime, along with using her Bedfan for night sweats, she was able to make it during the tough times. Yet the single factor that really stayed with me was her final deduction. That by allowing her body to carry out what God planned for it to do, menopause came and left without a hitch.
Consequently I accepted her recommendation and I did the same things she did, along with a little fine-tuning here and there, and I am happy to shout, I made it. And now, I also am out of the forest and not far behind my sister. My associates, conversely, are still taking the medications and wondering, when will it ever end?

Can You Eliminate Sinus and Allergy Symptoms?
Subscribe To Our FeedMany people suffer from allergy symptoms or chronic sinus problems. This type of suffering can vary from mildly irritating to something approaching agonizing.
.Often times people end up taking lots of medication and find that over time, the medication helps less. Surgery could become the final solution for some people. Even mushrooms have been known to grow inside sinus cavities
However, except for the case of the mushroom, there is another option to consider. Many people have used nasal or sinus irrigation to overcome their allergy or sinus conditions. Some people are able to reduce the amount of medication they are on. Others can actually eliminate the need for medication completely.
Some people have been able to avoid surgery too! Can you imagine introducing a fairly simple routine into your daily life and finding that it greatly relieves your suffering? There is real cause for celebration there.
Personally, I have been fortunate in that I do not suffer from allergy or sinus problems. However, I did have terrible head cold symptoms once. This was bad enough that I was unable to sleep. I tried nasal irrigation at that point. I performed nasal / sinus irrigation several times in a row. Finally, I was able to get some relief and get back to sleep!
I was so uncomfortable and the irrigation brought so much relief. I was very happy.
There are different ways to irrigate the sinus passages, there are Netti pots, squeeze bottles and my favorite: the Hydro Pulse device.
Whichever method you utilize, you might be able to find relief, reduce meds or avoid surgery.

Information of how to fall and stay asleep during right sleepinghours.
Subscribe To Our FeedHere are some suggestions to help you sleep.
A glass of warm milk can quickly put someone to sleep.
A well used and healthy body has very little trouble sleeping. If you have followed all the tips for getting enough sleep — sleeping on a regular schedule, avoiding caffeine and daytime naps, exercising regularly, and managing stress. Then you will probably only have trouble falling asleep occasionally.
• Make sure your bed is comfortable. Different types of mattresses help with different issues. Some mattresses are made to accommo¬date different type’s bedmates’ sleeping habits and comfort levels. Others are made to adjust to your firmness preferences. In addition, try therapeutic-shaped foam pillows that cradle your neck or extra pillows that help you sleep on your side. Make sure your sheets are com¬fortable and clean.
• Ensure your bedroom remains primarily a place for sleeping. Don’t use your bed for paying bills, doing work, etc. Help your body recognize that this is a place for rest or intimacy.
• Keep your bedroom peaceful and comfortable. Make sure your room is well ventilated and the temperature is consistent, and try to keep it quiet. If you have a problem with out¬side noise, a fan or a “white noise” machine can help block it out.
• Hide your clock. A big, illuminated digital clock may cause you to focus on the time and make you feel stressed and anxious. Place your clock so you can’t see the time when you are in bed.
• Do not nap during the day. If you are having trouble sleeping at night, try not to nap during the day. If you are feeling especially tired and feel as if you absolutely must nap, be sure to sleep for less than 30 minutes, early in the day.
• Limit caffeine and alcohol. Avoid drinking caffeinated or alcoholic beverages for several hours before bedtime.
• Don’t smoke. Nicotine is a stimulant and can make it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep.
• Expose yourself to bright light/sunlight soon after awakening. This will help to regulate your body’s natural biological clock. Likewise, try to keep your bedroom dark while you are sleeping so that the light will not interfere with your rest.
• Exercise early in the day. Twenty to thirty minutes of exercise every day can help you sleep, but be sure to exercise in the morning or afternoon. Exercise stimulates the body and aerobic activity before bedtime may make falling asleep more difficult.
• Check your iron level. Iron deficient women tend to have more problems sleeping, so if your blood is iron poor, a supplement might help you sleep
But the best suggestion comes from our mothers; a glass of warm milk will always help put you to sleep. It can be that easy to fight insomnia.
