Much of our sickness is due to our bodies becoming over acidic, pH under 7. When our bodies are out of balance and full of toxins, disease will flourish.

What Cause Us To Get Out Of Balance?

In the past several decades, there has been a rise in consumption of acid forming foods such as sugars, saturated fats, and white breads. At the same time our consumption of fresh vegetables and essential fatty acids has decreased dramatically, making way for convenience and a generation hooked on sugary treats. This, along with exposure to toxins and stress, contribute to our bodies becoming more acidic and getting out of balance.

How Can My Body Become More Alkaline?

When we talk about starting an alkaline diet or eating alkaline diet foods, we are referring to consuming foods and drink that have an alkaline effect on the body. The ash residue that remains after our foods are consumed is based upon the mineral content of the food. Some foods leave an acid ash, whereas others leave an alkaline ash.

Even though everybody is different, our goal is to eat 70-80% alkaline foods and a maximum of 20-30% acid forming foods.
