Super Foods and Supplements in your Diet
Subscribe To Our FeedIn a perfect world we wouldn’t need super foods and supplements. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world. Most of us don’t even know what supplements we need, let alone what supplements really are! Since the age of fast food drive-ins, microwavable dinners, and fast paced living most people don’t eat enough of the fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds that they really do need. Instead, we eat foods with preservatives and chemicals!
Even when we do eat something like broccoli or green beans, we feel the need to cook them, which in turn cooks all the nutrients and vitamins out! Funny enough even those people that are eating organic foods are still not getting enough of the nutrients that they need because the soil these types of food are grown in has been depleted of minerals which is where plants mainly get their nutrients.
Sadly, the news is even worse at places such as Farmers Markets where you would think you could find good foods - organically grown foods. But this just isn’t the case unfortunately. FYI - organic food items are made according to certain production standards, meaning they are grown without the use of conventional pesticides and artificial fertilizers, free from contamination by human or industrial waste, and processed without ionizing radiation or food additives.

In most countries, organic produce may not be genetically modified. So how do you fix something like this? How do you get the vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and supplements that you really need in order to live a healthier lifestyle? You can eat either two or three times the amount of fruits and vegetables that a normal person can consume in a day OR you can take supplements / super foods.
