Like all yoga postures they are not meant to hurt or give any sense of pain, when you are a beginner and feel any pain you are doing to much. Yoga asana can be done by beginners and experts because there are many different poses depending on the stage you of yoga asana you know. There are also many different classes starting for beginners and ending at master classes. Yoga asana can be used to achieve a high state of meditation, to increase the ability to stay in one position for longer periods at one time, to increase flexibility, well being and vitality.

Although, yoga asana contribute mainly to the popularity of yoga, they are not the only aspects of yoga. Knowing the various postures of yoga asana is only a small part of yoga and individuals who go through the entire practice are said to achieve powers.

There are several easy yoga asana:

- the Shavasana (corpse pose)
- Vajrasana (diamond pose).

These two asanas are very easy to achieve because there are not much flexing for beginners. In fact, the Shavasana is used to relax the individual if he or she initially feels tense at the start of the session. The Shavasana is a yoga asana where the individual lies on his back with the legs slightly apart as well as the arms away from the body. This posture is intended to rejuvenate the body, the spirit and the mind. This pose is usually used for beginning and ending the session and not for long periods of time since it can cause one to be sleepy when meditating.

The Vajrasana pose is relatively easy for those who have no knee or leg problems. This yoga asanas is said to prevent wind accumulation and aid in the digestion. One needs to kneel and sit on your calves while keeping the knees and big toes together. The heels need to be apart and you sit on them also. The hands should be on the respective knees and your spine should be straight. Lean back wards, at the same time releasing your legs to the front, until you are lying on your back. You need to place your hands at your back and lie still for several seconds. Movements should be fluid not jerky when doing this yoga asanas.

When you practise yoga asana you are working to be able to relaxed in any given position how difficult that position may look like. When translated literally yoga asana means “the place where the practitioner sits and the manner in which that individual is seated
